Oregon Student Technologist of the Year

TechStart in partnership with industry sponsors provides the Oregon Student Technologist of the Year Award. The goal of this award is to help bring Oregon students’ attention to the possibilities inherent in technology. Funded in 2012 through The Regence Foundation and Cambia Health Solutions IT Department a scholarship will be awarded to an Oregon high school seniors interested in pursuing careers in technology. For 2012 the Oregon Student Technologist of the Year Award will include:

  • A $1,500 scholarship to apply towards tuition and/or materials for a college computer science, information technology, or management information technology program of his or her choice.
  • An offer for an internship with Cambia Health Solutions IT Department
  • A $500 grant for the student's educator to be directed towards the continuation and improvement of their classroom computer science / technology programs.

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be an Oregon high school senior.
  • Must pursue a post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, or management information systems field.
  • Internship contingent on being selected for the scholarship, maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA, continuing to pursue the technology major, maintaining good academic standing at your college/university, and meeting all Cambia pre-employment criteria.
